Racepace at Fleetwood

''Sunny' Fleetwood was the location & what was for many was the last Triathlon in 2011. A sprint race consisting of a 400m swim, a 20km bike and a flat 5km run to finish. Brian Fogarty, Marcus Sheridan and Sarah Black all set off toward the end of the waves & at roughly the same time of 11.40am. After his exploits at the longer distances, Brian wanted to have a 'go' at the shorter ones, he came home under the hour to finish a fantastic 8th overall. Marcus on the back of a busy season racing Olympic was thinking much the same, a top 30 place out of 400 is some serious progress in only his 2nd season. Sarah Black had done a little more specific prep for this race so the pressure was on, finishing 3rd overall woman and shaving around 13mins off last years time ensued there was a big smile on her face on the way home....'boom' - roll on 2012.
